公務員試験は科目数が多いため、どの科目から手に付けたらいいのか？どの程度勉強したら良いのか？等の悩みを少しでも解消し、不安が少しでもなくなればと思い、私が実際試験に受かった時の勉強時間や勉強方法を紹介します。
勉強時間は？
公務員試験（土木職）の勉強時間は、教養科目・専門科目合わせて５００時間くらい確保すると良いでしょう。
仮に試験までの時間が３か月（90日）だとすると、１日5.5時間くらいです。
私も公務員試験の勉強を本格的に始めたのは３か月くらい前からです。平日は６時間・土日は４時間くらい勉強していました。
約500時間くらいの勉強時間で東京都、都道府県、国家一般の公務員試験（土木職）に合格しました。
毎日の勉強も大切ですが、学生であれば遊ぶ時間も確保しておくことをおすすめします。
勉強方法は？
勉強方法は、同じ問題集や過去問を何回も繰り返し解くことです。
実際に問題集や過去問と同じ問題が出題されることもあり、何度も解くことが合格の近道です。
公務員試験（土木職）は、高得点を取らずとも合格できる試験であり、しっかりと基礎問題を解けていれば、合格できます。実際に私が受験したときも過去問や問題集とまったく同じ問題が出題されておりました。
また、公務員講座を受けるのもありです。
費用はかかりますが、模擬試験を多く受験できる機会があったり、問題を早く解くコツなども教えてもらえます。
受験する試験の日程や配点を確認
公務員試験は科目数が多いため、おおまかなスケジュールを立てましょう。いつまでに問題集1周目を終わらそうというようなスケジュール感で良いでしょう。
おおまかなスケジュールが決まれば逆算して今週やるべきことが決まってくるはずです。
また、可能であれば本番の試験前までに模擬試験を受けてみることをお勧めします。私は本番１か月前に模擬試験を受け、教養試験・専門試験ともに正答率が３割未満でしたが、苦手科目と向き合えたことや、その時点での実力を確認できました。
１つの問題集を何周もする
たくさんの問題集を解くよりも、１つの問題集を何回も繰り返し解いた方が良いです。
先ほどもお伝えしたとおり、問題集と同じ問題が出ることや同じような問題が出ることがあるため、解き方の過程を覚えてしまうまで繰り返した方が、試験での点数に結びつきます。
解き方の過程まで完璧に解けるようになったら、別の問題集に挑戦してみるのもいいでしょう。
公務員試験（土木職）の専門科目おすすめの問題集
科目の優先順位
地方上級などの公務員試験（土木職）は、教養試験と専門試験を受ける必要があります。土木の公務員試験であるため、専門科目に力を入れるべきです。
時間配分としては、７：３（専門科目：教養科目）が良い割合です。
- 土質力学（80時間）
- 構造力学（80時間）
- 水理学（70時間）
- 数学（50時間）
- 物理（50時間）
- 測量・計画・土木施工等（20時間）
専門科目でも出題数の多い3力の土質力学・構造力学・水理学に力を入れて勉強しましょう。私自身、試験勉強を始めたばかりの時期はこの3力しか勉強しておりませんでした。
次に数学・物理です。３力の勉強のペースがつかめてきた頃に勉強をスタートすると時間の配分がしやすくなると思います。
測量・計画・土木施工等については、暗記系が多い科目であるため、試験１か月前から取り組めば十分間に合います。
- 数的処理・判断水理（60時間）
- 文章理解（30時間）
- 資料解釈（20時間）
- 自然科学・人文科学・社会科学（30時間）
数的処理・判断水理は、慣れるまで時間がかかりますので、最初に手を付けておいた方がおすすめです。
私自身、理系でしたが苦手分野でしたので、解けるようになるまで時間がかかりましたが、ある程度解き方がパターン化されているので、繰り返し解くと解くスピードも早くなります。
文章理解や資料解釈は、問題を解いていくうちにコツがつかめてきます。
自然科学・人文科学・社会科学は，暗記科目ですので、試験１か月前くらいから力を入れていくと良いでしょう。しかし、暗記事項が多いため、時間をかけすぎない方が良いです。
私は、本当に数的処理が苦手であったため、こちらの問題集を５回は解き、本番の試験でも点数がとれるようになりました。

試験勉強は大変だと思いますが、最後は自分が納得できるまで勉強し、自信を持って受験していただければと思います。
私自身、試験に落ちても後悔しない程度までやりました。その結果、全ての試験で合格をいただき、某県庁においては首席合格できました。
不安をなくすためには、早くからの準備と勉強を習慣化することです。
